PERHAPS EDEN IS NOT A PLACE BUT A STATE?
Perhaps “Eden” is not a place, But a state we are called to become. Before I was born, Before breath borrowed my body, I was silent. Whole. One with all Presence. There was no name, no story, Only stillness... And the Creator God within it. When I borrowed a body, I was made to forget Where I had come from, And where I was going. But I feel... Eden is not somewhere “out there” I’m heading towards, But the true stillness That makes all stories seem like noise. A Divine Stillness, Free from ego and self-seeking. Our souls fear “non-existence,” Fear letting go of the body we’ve grown used to, The wealth we’ve accummulated, The praises we’ve chased and perhaps earned, But within the ONE PRESENCE, Is where eternal rest lives. Perhaps that "lost paradise" is not a place we return to after death. Perhaps it is a state we are born carrying. Eden is not a land flowing with honey and wine, But hearts flowing with peace.
